What is OnArtwork ?
OnArtwork is a program for capturing CD covers using an iSight video camera and assigning them to tracks with missing artowrks in your iTunes library. For an introduction read the Overview section. For a full features list red Details section.

Who should use OnArtwork ?
You have lot of CDs you decide to load them in your iTunes juke box. If you have an ITunes account and you are using iTunes 7 you'll probably use a nice feature that assign CD covers (artworks) to tracks loaded in iTunes. iTunes loads covers for many of your tracks, but not for all, sometimes it cannot detect an artowrk because your album is not on the Apple Music Store. OnArtwork helps you to capture the covers that iTunes has not found, you have the physical CD cover ? an iSight camera too ? so start OnArtwork, capture the cover and assign it to the tracks with missing artwork.

Download and Install

How can I obtain OnArtwork ?
You can download the latest OnArtwork version from the Overview and the Download sections of this site.

How can I install OnArtwork ?
Simple: download OnArtwork from this site, double click on the downloaded file, a disk image will be mounted on your desktop. Just drag and drop the OnArtwork icon from the disk image to the Application folder on your hard disk.

How can I uninstall OnArtwork ?
Select the OnArtwork application from your hard disk and drag it to the trash.

How can I upgrade OnArtwork to the latest version ?
Trash your previous version of OnArtwork (or copy it on a backup disk), download the latest version and copy it into your Application folder.

System and camera requirements

Which Mac OS X System versions are compatible with OnArtwork ?
OnArtwork is compatible with all Mac OS X versions starting from Panther Mac OS 10.3. You cannot use it with Jaguar 10.2.

Which video camera are supported ?
OnArtwork is able to capture CD covers using an iSight video camera. We tested the program using the standard iSight video camera available in recent Mac models. You can try to use a firewire video camera, if you'll do some tests feel free to send us a note with your comments at Onmadesoft Support.

I don't have a video camera how can I use OnArtwork ?
If you don't have a video camera you can still use OnArtwork, you need an image of the cover you want to assign to your tracks in iTunes. Drag and drop this image to the lower right box in the main window (the one containing the video camera icon). Once dropped, you'll be able to modify the image using the adjust palette and then assign it to your iTunes tracks.

How can I purchase OnArtwork ?
The Buy section for this product explains in detail how to buy a registration number that will activate all the features available in OnArtwork.

Is it possible to purchase a license using PayPal ?
No, we are sorry, at the moment OnArtwork can be purchased only from the Kagi store.

How can I register OnArtwork ?
You purchased a registration number, you need to register your OnArtwork copy, follow those steps:

start OnArtwork
press the "Register" button on the startup panel, a new panel will open
enter your registration number (you can copy and paste it from the registration email you received from Kagi). If the registration number is entered correctly the "Enter Code" button will enable
press the "Enter Code" button

I've lost my registration number, how can I obtain it again ?
You reinstalled your Mac OS X, you loosed your registration email (which contains your registration number), contact Onmadesoft Support , send an email containing your first and last name and the email address you used when you purchased your registration number. We will send you a copy of your registration email.

A new version of OnArtwork has been released, have I to purchase a new registration number ?
Till now your registration number is valid for all OnArtwork versions released. A new registration will be required only when the first digit of the version number will be increased, so when a new version 2.0 will be released, a new registration will be necessary.

Where can I find the list of features enabled only in the registered version ?
OnArtwork is fully enabled also if used without registering. The only limitation is that artwork assigned to iTunes will contain the following text: "OnArtwork. Unregistered Copy. Onmadeosft.com".

Troubleshooting

OnArtwork crashes, a window with the message "The application OnArtwork quit unexpctedly" appears. What can I do ?
Press the "Report" button, then send the report to Support. If you are running on a Tiger system it will just necessary to press the button "Send report to OnMadeSoft and Apple".
