Bluetooth connection troubles:

• some Motorola models have connection troubles when using the bluetooth configuration provided in OnSync's preferences
• it is possible to try a different bluetooth connection by using the serial configuration
• in the OnSync's preferences panel you can check the Serial Device configuration and select your paired Motorola mobile from the Serial Devices Selector
• if the mobile is not listed in the Serial Device Selector or if the choice you did is not working you can try to add a dedicated serial device port for your mobile, follow the help provided in this document Adding a serial device port for a bluetooth mobile

• sometimes it is necessary to hard-reboot a bluetooth mobile (in example for the v551)
• it can arrive that the mobile stops communicating with your Mac, or that you deleted your mobile pairing and you are unable to pair it again
• for many Motorola models it exists two possible reboot procedures:
  • shut the phone off, remove the battery for 30 secs, replace the battery and turn the phone on again
  • do not shut the phone off, remove the battery for 30 secs, replace the battery and turn the phone on again (this procedure is used by some wireless carrier when they reset a phone)
• after an hard-reboot of a bluetooth mobile you'll have to pair it again with your Mac

• some users reported issues related to the management of contacts with multiple numbers on models like v3 and v600
• the following configuration should be solve those troubles (we never had a way to test this directly because we don't have this mobile model, but some users reported it works, so give it a try and send us your feedback)

  • configure the "Descriptions Format" popups and fields:
    • remove all fields separators like '(' ')' ',' etc.
    • do not configure the 'type' in the popups, if a 'type' configuration is present set it to '(none)'

• If you connect a Motorola mobile using an USB cable, you'll have to select the serial configuration in the OnSync's preferences.
• If you get a "Device Busy" error it could be that you have to change the mobile's modem configuration. The modem could be configured to "hard-drive" try to switch it to "modem"

Others reported also that for using some v3 models with an USB cable they had to configure the USB settings of the mobile: "USB settings" parameter on the phone must be switched to "Data/Fax connection".
